Sanima Mai Hydropower Limited has resumed power generation at its 22 MW Mai Hydropower Station and 7 MW Mai Cascade Hydropower Station. Operations were previously halted due to damages caused by floods and landslides in the Mai River after heavy rainfall on Ashwin 18, 2082.
Following the completion of repairs and successful testing of the headrace culvert and flushing chamber, both plants have returned to normal operation. The Mai Hydropower Station resumed on Falgun 10, 2082, at 10:46 AM, while the Mai Cascade Hydropower Station resumed at 10:48 AM on the same day.
